  19. INSTALLATION

In order to acquire certain file types (JPEG, RJPG, MooV) or create and work with 24-bit compressed thumbnails in ImageAXS, you must have QuickTime installed on your computer. QuickTime version 1.6 is distributed with ImageAXS and can be installed using the Easy Install process described in the Installation instructions in the manual. The installation process installs QuickTime version 1.6 in your System folder (or the extensions folder within the System Folder if you are running under System 7).

  23. Important! If you already have a version of QuickTime installed on your computer you must remove it before installing version 1.6.

  27. USING THE QUICKTIME EXTENSION

  29. You do not interact directly with the QuickTime extension. It works behind the scenes as part of your system software, providing added functionality to ImageAXS.
